installkernel version zImage System.map [directory]
説明
installkernel は、新しいカーネルイメージを、Linux ソースツリーからシステムにインストールします。make install
が実行されると、Linux カーネルの makefile から呼ばれます。
新しいカーネルを {directory}/vmlinuz-{version} にインストールします。シンボリックリンク
{directory}/vmlinuz がすでにある場合、{directory}/vmlinuz
から新しいカーネルへ、リンクを作成して更新します。また、以前のカーネルを {directory}/vmlinuz.old
として利用できるようにします。
バグ
installkernel resides in /sbin only because the Linux kernel makefiles
call it from there. It should really be in /usr/sbin. It isn't needed to
boot a system.
