Falls Sie sich damit bereits auskennen, können Sie dieses Kapitel überspringen. </p><p>Es gibt eine umfangreiche Umsetzung des <span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Remote Frame Buffer</span>“</span>-Protokolls, bekannt unter dem Namen <acronym class="acronym">VNC</acronym> (<span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Virtual Network Computing</span>“</span>). </p><p><span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Remote Frame Buffer</span>“</span> (<acronym class="acronym">RFB</acronym>) ist ein einfaches Protokoll für den entfernten Zugriff auf eine grafische Arbeitsfläche. Es arbeitet auf der Ebene des <span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Frame-buffers</span>“</span>, der grob der gerasterten Bildschirmdarstellung entspricht. Daher kann das Protokoll für alle Fenstersysteme (einschließlich X11, <span class="trademark">Mac</span>® <acronym class="acronym">OS</acronym> und <span class="trademark">Microsoft</span>® <span class="trademark">Windows</span>®) verwendet werden. <span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Remote Frame Buffer</span>“</span>-Programme finden sich für viele Plattformen und können meistens frei weitergegeben werden. </p><p>Beim <span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Remote Frame Buffer</span>“</span>-Protokoll heißt die Anwendung auf dem Rechner, an dem der Benutzer sitzt (mit Bildschirm, Tastatur und Maus), Client. Das Programm auf dem entfernten Rechner (mit der Fensterverwaltung und den von fern kontrollierten Programmen) wird Server genannt. <span class="application">Remote Desktop Connection</span> ist der <span class="orgname">KDE</span>-Client und <span class="application">Desktop Sharing</span> ist der <span class="orgname">KDE</span>-Server für das <span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Remote Frame Buffer</span>“</span>-Protokoll. </p><p>Es wird eine gewisse Bandbreite im Netzwerk benötigt, um die Bilder des <span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Remote Frame Buffer</span>“</span> zu übertragen, daher sollte man das Protokoll möglichst in lokalen Netzwerken verwenden. Man kann <span class="application">Remote Desktop Connection</span> aber auch über langsamere Verbindungen verwenden (<abbr class="abbrev">z. Wählen Sie <span xmlns:doc="http://nwalsh.com/xsl/documentation/1.0" class="guiitem"><span class="guilabel">rdp</span></span> als Protokoll. Bei <acronym class="acronym">RDP</acronym> kann auf die Angabe der Bildschirmnummer verzichtet werden. Wenn der RDP-Server auf einem besonderen Port hört, geben Sie die Portnummer auf folgende Art ein: <strong class="userinput"><code>megan:3910</code></strong>. </p><p>Eine <acronym class="acronym">URL</acronym> muß in prozentkodierter Syntax eingegeben werden, zum Beispiel <strong class="userinput"><code>@</code></strong> als <strong class="userinput"><code>%40</code></strong> in <strong class="userinput"><code>username%40ad.domain.example</code></strong>. </p></div><div class="sect2"><div class="titlepage"><div><div><h3 class="title"><a name="idm164"></a>Verwendung einer Einladung</h3></div></div></div><p>Mit dem <span class="application">Desktop Sharing</span>-Server kann man Einladungen per E-Mail (und auf andere Arten) versenden.
