Slock is a very simple screen locker. After locking the screen you have to type your password, when you press a key if slock is active the screen color will turn to blue. After entering password hit enter and the screen will be unlocked. Please Note: Debian provides a patched version of slock which uses PAM for authentication. This means that slock can authenticate the user using some other mechanism for login (i.e., NIS passwords, fingerprint readers, etc). In addition, we avoid installing slock with setuid-root or setgid-shadow permissions. Slock also tries to disable the OOM killer by adjusting the '/proc/PID/oom_score_adj'. In order for this to work, we set the CAP_SYS_RESOURCE capability on filesystems that support this operation. -- Ilias Tsitsimpis <i.tsitsimpis@gmail.com> Sat, 10 Oct 2015 19:31:43 +0300
