rpm (4.17.0+dfsg1-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  INCOMPATIBLE CHANGE! Read BEFORE upgrading!

The rpm package has DROPPED support for the Berkeley DB database format!
The new rpm package (4.17 or higher) will NOT be able to access
the information about the packages installed by earlier rpm versions!

If you have used the "rpm" command to install any packages, you must
run `rpmdb --exportdb > rpm.data` BEFORE performing this upgrade and
then `rpmdb --importdb < rpm.data` after the upgrade is complete.

rpm (4.8.0-4) experimental; urgency=low

The rpm default configuration no longer uses system package database. For
each user, own database in ~/.rpmdb will be created. This avoids errors while
running rpm as user, what is anyway most common use case on Debian.

rpm (4.7.0-9) unstable; urgency=low

rpm package now creates database on installation. If you did use rpm for
installing any packages, please refer to README.Debian how to recover
  the database.
