It retains the usual location of inserting the details at the bottom of the string by default, with a new option in `deprecation.message_location` to insert it at near the top when set to `"top"`. commit 990b27eacda9c105aba180f727318f6eb97e4d70 Author: Brian Curtin <brian@python.org> Date: Mon Feb 19 12:04:12 2018 -0500 Improve warning message handling of None parts (#14) * Improve warning message handling of None parts DeprecationWarning was building strings that could be contained entirely with None values, which made for odd and unhelpful messages. This change builds up the string messages to only contain parts of the sentence when there is relevant data to mention. Fixes #2 commit 3ad94c2de7c313d0ca20a8ce4c9247a0faaa8018 Author: briancurtin <brian@python.org> Date: Mon Feb 19 09:50:19 2018 -0500 Release 1.2 commit 40fa8cfdfb2da08dacd80b4d9bd5dc9bad8aff4f Author: Brian Curtin <brian@python.org> Date: Mon Feb 19 09:45:47 2018 -0500 Retain proper indentation of multiline docstrings (#12) * Retain proper indentation of multiline docstrings This change fixes an issue where multiline docstrings would have their body contents indented a level beyond where they should have been, causing potential rendering issues with Sphinx and the REPL's builtin `help` functionality. Rather than blindly joining our deprecation details to the docstring, we now look to see if it's a multiline docstring or not, and if it is, we more carefully append to it. In order to preserve the intended indentation, we split the docstring into its summary line and the rest of the contents, use `textwrap.dedent` on the contents, and then join the summary and contents back up along with the details of the deprecation message so they'll all be on the same level. This includes a change to sample.py with a multiline docstring example, which the docs will render. Fixes #10 commit 7b458d4c647813f28ec3768b7ee9a637886e9214 Author: Brian Curtin <brian@python.org> Date: Fri Feb 16 09:57:16 2018 -0500 Update the supported Python versions (#13) Travis was already building with up to the 3.7 development branch, but the local tox.ini and setup.py were behind. This brings them all up to speed. commit 70bb27fef996b214d7b698ed3124fb598220eea9 Author: briancurtin <brian@python.org> Date: Thu Feb 1 08:37:36 2018 -0500 Forgot to bump the version commit fa0c4090cc8236c959b94d4feb73d3aeeb5b6563 Merge: bd9d85c cc578e1 Author: Brian Curtin <brian@python.org> Date: Thu Feb 1 08:30:30 2018 -0500 Merge pull request #8 from dray92/distutils_to_packaging Migrate from distutils.version to packaging.version commit cc578e1a7559a10c087c3382cccd7c9a723b4277 Author: Debosmit Ray <debo@uber.com> Date: Sat Dec 23 05:00:52 2017 +0400 Migrate from distutils.version to packaging.version commit bd9d85c97e717cf8af28f2bc4f983f7122adc005 Merge: 96d01c6 60dbd87 Author: Brian Curtin <brian@python.org> Date: Mon Sep 4 10:05:49 2017 -0400 Merge pull request #7 from nicfit/stacklevel Show location of deprecation in warning rather than the decorator commit 60dbd87854be06116188e7de09c770a56c9d83fe Author: Travis Shirk <travis@pobox.com> Date: Sat Sep 2 22:42:05 2017 -0600 Show location of deprecation in warning rather than the decorator internals. commit 96d01c64c7f601be4c0e244bfbc9727938e11b9c Author: briancurtin <brian@python.org> Date: Tue May 2 11:42:21 2017 -0400 Release 1.0.1 commit 0fff0c02988ff6ab16ada90ba75a6577c6378cfd Merge: ee2c590 b8043fb Author: Brian Curtin <brian@python.org> Date: Tue May 2 11:39:16 2017 -0400 Merge pull request #6 from toabctl/fix-encoding Fix encoding when reading README.rst commit ee2c590ee906f1d5f723d0603b5694a675378f70 Merge: 6f27aaa 4d5dc0d Author: Brian Curtin <brian@python.org> Date: Tue May 2 11:35:07 2017 -0400 Merge pull request #3 from javierpena/master Include LICENSE file in sdist commit b8043fb620271a229d91dff302079f19876d7838 Author: Thomas Bechtold <tbechtold@suse.com> Date: Tue May 2 16:28:57 2017 +0200 Fix encoding when reading README.rst Closes #5 commit 4d5dc0dc577cfe8932bdc8efbace4a61098a5b5c Author: Javier Pena <jpena@redhat.com> Date: Wed Feb 15 14:27:40 2017 +0100 Include LICENSE file in sdist Most distributions require license files to be included in source tarballs, e.g. [1].
