apparently setting keysize to 8 triggered a bad hack
in Crypt::CBC which resulted in OpenSRS breaking.
the "bad hack" in question is:
$ks = $cipher =~ /blowfish/i ? 56 : 8 unless $ks > 0;
... anyway.. fixed.
